No more cash. The road, like other Texs toll rods, uses the Txpass system.

TxPass is a transponder device developed by the state of Texas that is mounted on the inside windscreen of a vehicle.

Rolly is right and I have a Texas Pass, but I'll bet that the overhead cameras will take a picture of your licence plate (tag) and they'll send you a bill in the mail. If they don't - you win ! ! !

I would think so.... but like I said above - "but if they don't, you win."

A Canadian friend of mine told some Florida relatives that they should use Hwy 407 (toll rd.) in the Toronto area since Ontario wouldn't send them a bill to their Florida address. He was wrong. A couple of months later they got a bill for $30.00 - already changed into U.S. Dollars.

The Colombia Toll Rd. is only $2 so no big deal either way.

I'd recommend getting a Tx. Tag for the next time you come down. You can use it for the new Austin Tx. by-pass. A real time saver for the $6.00!

You can get it online, over the phone or even buy it in person.

Check this website - Texas Tag
