Bathroom accessories

Post by CanuckBob on Tue Jun 06, 2017 3:25 pm

Anyone know of a shop around here that has a good selection of bathroom accessories? I'm looking for towel hangers, toilet paper holders, etc. I already tried Case de Plomero and Walmart.

Maybe the Talavera-type pottery shop next to Gaucheria?

I thought that place was being renovated. I'll check there again. Thanks.

Bob, my house came with the chrome looking accessories and they started breaking to find that they were mainly plastic. I went to Amutio and could not buy by the piece but had to buy the whole set to match what I had. The cost was Aprox 1,400 Pesos for the set.
I then went to a friend who is a local iron worker and had him make me a set. He quoted me under 400 pesos for materials. Because this was around Christmas and he has a 4 year old son, I told him I would pay him the 1,400 pesos which the cheap plastic set would have cost. Nacho was thrilled with that price. I am positive his price would have been way lower than that. I gave him the liberty to be creative and told him I wanted an antique finish on the iron. What I got was beautiful and will last forever. PM me if you want his location and phone #. Of course it took awhile to get the work done, but this is Mexico after all.
