Ranch Dog Adoption Day this Saturday - 1 July

We at the Ranch are badly overcrowded. If we can adopt a few pups, we can take some of Anita's dogs who may need a bit more socialization.

Here is tomorrow's lineup. First our puppies:

Bruno is Mamacita's puppy and she looks like a Cattle Dog mix. She has found a home but Bruno is still looking. He is mostly black with a bit of grey shading, medium coat and great long-haired ears. He is about 6 months old and maybe part spaniel? Bruno is also a love sponge.

Maisie, Malia and Mayra were also abandoned at the Ranch. <very big sigh> They are almost 4 months old, purebred MSD (Mexican Street Dog) black variety. They have some unusual white accents. And are about as cute and playful and affectionate as puppies can be. They are growing fast and we expect them to be medium sized dogs.

Meryl is so new she doesn't even have a picture. She is another dumped off at the Ranch dog. She appears to be part blue merle Cattle Dog and part MSD (Mexican Street Dog). She is only 4 months old and is already medium in size so we expect her to be a big beautiful girl. Meryl is blue merle on her front and mostly black everywhere else. She is also super affectionate and would love to be your big lap dog.

Rosie is a new arrival and pictures don't do her justice. I'm not making this up - she looks like a blue brindle Whippet mix. Her tail has to be seen to be believed. It resembles a bottle brush with curly fur??? She was found in SJC, sickly and alone. Our special volunteer nursed her back to health and what a beauty she is. Rosie is about 5 months old and is going to grow up to be one gorgeous dog.

Here are this week's adults:

Bonnie is a three year old black Lab mix. She was badly abused and starved when a local Vet rescued her. He nursed her back to health and then she came to the Ranch to have her spirit healed. Notice how she is running for joy in the photo? We never thought we'd see that. Now she is ready for a very special owner with lots of patience and love.

Sophia is a very recent arrival who looks like a Golden Retriever mix. Smaller pale blond, silky coat variety. She is about 2 years old, and medium in size. Sophia was tied to the Ranch gate but panicked when the car approached and got loose. She wandered around near the Ranch until our “dog whisper” employee gained her trust. She has decided people are wonderful but would like her very own people now.

Valentina
This wonderfully gentle mom dog was discovered abandoned in Mirasol with 8 newborn pups... on VALENTINE'S DAY! The date foretold her personality and behavior, she nurtured her large brood with total dedication until they were big enough to be on their own. Her pups have all found homes so now it's Valentina's turn. She is "small-ish" medium in size, may be a spaniel mix. Her age is nearly 2 yeas. Now that she's spayed, a happy home and future await this sweet girl who has lots of love to share!

Zippy is a smallish medium sized boy, about 2 years old we think. He has defied our attempts to agree on his breed mix, but he is cream with lots of red-gold shading and a curly Spitz tail. He loves to give doggy kisses and snuggles. And likes long walks as well. A pretty special little guy just waiting to meet you.

All our Ranch dogs are neutered, current on their 6 way shots and rabies. Puppies have had some shots and been wormed, but most are not yet altered. We will pay for altering when they are old enough. There is no charge for adoption, but donations are gratefully accepted. For photos and pictures of all our dogs please see our Website:
