CFE Digital Meters

Post by SunFan on Sat Aug 26, 2017 12:19 pm

Does anyone know how the new digital, two display, meters are read? Is it done by manually reading the meter or does the meter electronically transmit the readings?

The reason I ask is I just got this months bill and it shows the current reading (Aug 14) and the previous reading two months prior as the same? Wouldn't be a problem except that's the dial that measures my output to the grid from my solar array. So I got 0 credit for the past two months.

When I read the meter myself this morning it showed a reading almost 500 kilowatts greater than the reading on the bill so I suspect they have the wrong reading.

Has anyone else had this problem?

TIA

I only know that in 2008 and for quite a few years afterwards, CFE employees came to my house and read my then new digital meter. I know that there are digital meters in the US that read the meter and send the reading back to the local power company eliminating the need for someone to come out and read the meter.

However I do not know what CFE does here in Mexico.
