Lost Dog in West Ajijic

Post by Bubba2shoes on Mon Sep 18, 2017 11:18 am

I have a lost Chihuahua who escaped from a door inadvertently left open at my residence on Calle Linda Vista between th Danza Del Sol Hotel on Ocampo and the lake in Ajijic. She is a small black dog named Chiquita. ,She probably escaped to the beach but I dont really know where she went. If she escaped to the beach it is likely she is roaming the beach between Linda Vista and La Canancita. I am offering a reward for her return. of you find her, please respond here and I will respond, in turn, to your post.

Good luck, mutt. We also have chihuahua named Chiquita that we are quite fond of. Hope she turns up.

Thanks, Clete. As my darlin' wife is in Paris visiting realtives and was there when Chiquita escaped, the dawg is my responsibility so, in addition to the fact that I love my little Chiquita I wish to find her ASAP and return her to the fold but if I unable to do so, at least there will be an empty doghouse I can occupy indefinitely when my wife returns from Paris in a couple of weeks. Always look on the bright side of life (thank you Monty Python)

You'll get her back, Bubba.
Nobody in the area has seen her? People on the lake? Tell the garbage men. Tell everyone reward. Bet she's close by. If you have other dogs take them with you when you go looking for her.
Muy buena Suerte.

And tell the neighbor kids- if someone has taken her in, they'll likely know about it. Little old dog isn't likely to go too far, so wander around calling her name.

Here's a photo of Chiquita. Bmh says recent though not a great foto. Several teeth are gone to help identify her. Lost in West Ajijic near Hotel Danza del Sol.

She can't get very far along the lakefront. The water is up to the fences in most of the area you're talking about. She probably turned back from the waterline and got confused.
Prayers for a speedy reunion.

Has anyone posted this and/or checked the local Facebook page for animals? I'm not on it but there is at least a chance that one of our local "rescuers" has found Chiquita and is keeping her.

Crossed paws from the Schnauzer Brigade for a safe return.

So far no luck finding Chiquita, not even a lead of any kind but thanks for that idea of trying to inquire on Facebook, Flamingo. I'll try that tomorrow morning even though its a long shot.

Yes, this dog is being offered for adoption on Facebook. Their post is in Spanish, so I don't know if they speak English. They do not offer phone or other contact info on the post. Their name on Facebook is Oli Ritschard. If you are on Facebook, perhaps you can send them a private message? If you are not, I would be willing to private message them with your contact info.

Here is a link to their FaceBook page and a picture of the dog they are giving away. It sure looks like Chiquita.

She is looking for a home. She is ready after a couple of days at the vet. She is like 9 years old. She has no teeth. She loves kids and to run around. Please share

I have also sent Oli a message telling her that we think we know who owns this dog and he will be in touch.

If someone knows Bubba's phone number please call him and tell him to look at this ASAP.

The only question here: Bubba posted about this on Sept 18th, and the info given in the post from Facebook said that the dog has spent "a couple of days at the vet". It does look like the same dog, though.

Good job, Bob!!! I think this is going to work out. Bubba still doesn't answer but Dr. Luis the vet is on it and he messaged me not to worry that she is super fine and it's just a matter of getting the 2 of them together.

Bravo Inside Lakeside and Facebook. Social media rocks.

Just talked to Bob, that's their pup, he's so excited. He's talking to Dr. Luis the vet right now and will meet him at the office for the reunion.

He is one happy Bubba!
