Restaurants along lake near San Juan Cosala?

Post by Martha on Wed Mar 28, 2018 5:37 pm

Does anybody know the best restaurant out on the strip by San Juan Cosala? Where all the restaurants are together on the lakeside (Don't know the name of the area). Thanks!

I don't know about those but Sima del Copal is the big palapa restaurant up on the hill just past those with a fabulous view and good food.

Local MX friends only go to Iguana (last one westbound). Supposed to have great soup and who travels for soup. Bob's advice is good. Awesome view. I'd go just for that.

We went up to Sima del Copal, it was packed but what a view!!! We ended up going to Las Olas, had fabulous homemade tortillas and great coco camarones with a homemade coco sauce. Will be back to Sima del Copal, looked wonderful and great music. Borderreiver, I didn't see your post in time. Thanks folks.

Most of those restaurants along the lake there are nothing but high priced "view food". Bambú has decent breakfasts and Iguana is ok too. They are overpriced though. You did the right thing going up the hill!
