susan - it's quite you haven't lived at Lakeside very long. High season starts around Nov. 15 and runs until April 15. There's no high season this year because they did not come because of the press NOB and the economy in the US. Ask the restauranteurs who are starving and ask Nuevo Posada who laid off 1/2 of their help.

Yes but where is all the traffic coming from if they are not here?
All our snowbird friends are here and we have lots of them.

We went to Tonys’ the other night at our usual time and it was packed with what I assume were “Snowbirds”. We go early around 6pm to avoid the crowds. Next time we’ll just have to go earlier. Maybe their arriving later this year?

It's been our experience the crunch begins the day after Christmas and lasts until April 1st., then May is slow and June starts the Sunbird season.
