Dr Juan Pablo Attacked

I received this Pm with the request that I post it:

It happened last night after doctor Juan Pablo took a patient to the hosp in guad. He went out to dinner and was followed and jumped -- had the shit kicked outta him, broken nose etc. They took him at gun point to an ATM and cleaned out his bank account. He's just happy to be alive.

This is a terrible thing to hear, Rolly. Somebody please convey our deepest sympathies, and wishes for a speedy recovery. Thanks, Lizzy

We're so sorry to hear that. We hope he suffers no ptsd and gets well soon.

What a terrible thing to happen to him, I am so sorry. I hope he heals OK and also that he did not have much in his account. I used to carry my card with me all the time, now I leave it at home unless I am going to use it, and only during the day. Not that that is any guarantee of anything!

Just called Dr. Juan and as Rolly posted he's happy to be alive. Apparently 3 guys, one with a gun, jumped him as he was getting into his car and roughed him up. Then they put him in their car and, you know the rest. He said he is o.k., and not to worry. Then he asked about our health, wanted to know if we got our meds. o.k and all the usual doctor stuff. Whatta guy.

So sad to hear this yet glad he is alive! Wishing him a speedy recovery and to get all he lost back 2 fold.

Where does he practice?

Terrible thing. I hope he gets well very soon. I guess it's too much to hope they catch these guys.

He is located one block from the American Legion in Chapala. His practice is out of his house . When you leave the Legion on Morelos, turn left on Guerero and he is in the next block on the corner (in a blue house) on the right hand side of the street. He has become a very popular Dr. with many Gringos. He is very caring and speaks English.

As i said, i´m fine (alive), the money comes and goes, my life don´t.
It is a terrible thing that many people live in desperate, wich lead to made stupid thing, and dengerous too.

Just curious, this is a terrible thing to have happen, but how could they clean out his bank account at an ATM machine? Usually there's a maximum that can be withdrawn, unless the maximum was the total amount in his account.

Does anyone know what restaurant he was at when he was attacked? This means that someone was watching him either in the restaurant or just outside.
