Prius road check?
Prius road check?
I'm heading back to the US soon and want to make sure my Prius is road worthy. Any recommendations?

Felipe, right next door to Telecable in Riberas. Excellent.
Agree with "the shop next to SL" as well. That would be Roberto at the Llantera Hernandez. They are excellent too but a little limited. Both of these mechanics are honest and skilled.

I went to Felipe and as far as I can tell he did a great job for a good price. He and Rosa are so nice too. I figured the shocks and springs would be shot, and probably the undercarriage plate would have multiple tope dents, but they're in good shape. Thank you all again!

Do you recommend driving your Prius for long trips in and out of MX? I would think the topes would tear up the undercarriage. Love my Prius.

Re: Prius road check?
Hi MexiMiss. Definitely YES! i drove from MA and back with no problems at all. The highways don't have topes, only the towns. There are a few in the lake area that are nasty, and if you drove too fast over them I'm sure they'd do damage. I would stop and verrrry slowly go over them and often they'd scrape, but as I said above there was no damage. I had my MA mechanic check everything when I got back and he said it was fine too.
